Leadership Coaching

what is coaching

What is coaching?

Coaching is, quite simply, the process of unlocking the potential in individuals or teams in order to achieve concrete business results.

For us, Coaching is about momentum, identifying goals, removing obstacles, generating options, planning action, and actioning the plan. By highlighting successes and learning from mistakes, the process brings about a new level of personal effectiveness.

Through a series of specially-devised sessions, the client works with the coach to achieve their goal. The coach helps the client identify their individual talents and strengths and to value them. The end result is an individual or team that operates more effectively and confidently and contributes to a stronger bottom line for the company.

What can it do for me?

Coaching gets results. By focusing attention on your issue and being coached through it, you get what you're after.

So tell us what you want to achieve and we'll coach you to achieve your goal.

Why does it work?

Because it is 100% about the client and their issues, there is a uniquely high level of attention throughout the session. This attention and, indeed, retention of the issues ensure an understanding that causes positive shifts in thinking and behaviour.

Brain research has shown that the brain learns best when dealing with real world/complex scenarios, which explains why Coaching is so powerful. The sessions are focused solely on the real world issues facing our clients (which are naturally complex) and thus the brain integrates new material and learning in a way that rarely happens in a classroom or lecture theatre.

The Coach uses a series of powerful questions to provoke a new perspective on the issues facing the client. In doing so, they coach the client to generate solutions for themselves. Because the solution is self-generated, it is accepted and more importantly actioned.

Feedback from clients shows that this "actioning" is perceived as a key differentiator from other methods of training. Textbook solutions rarely get integrated into any routines back at the office, but these solutions have been self-generated in the context of the office routines…so they work.

The Coach looks for coachable moments when the client is hungry for new information and "lasers" new knowledge to the client at the exact moment they need and want it. "Laser informing" is how the coach imparts the latest theories in leadership and management .The client learns quickly due to the relevance and immediate application of theory to their issue. Delivering at that crucial moment ensures the learning is relevant and integrated and helps the client move forward.
